MONGOLIAN INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTER

Mongolian International Arbitration Center /MIAC/ under the MNICC has been operating since 1960 and is an internationally recognized permanent arbitration in Mongolia. The arbitration has branches in 21 provinces of Mongolia, is a member of the Asia-Pacific Arbitration Association, and cooperates with more than 20 international arbitral institutions. The arbitration consists of 51 national and 11 foreign (Russia, China, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Poland), a total of 62, specialists in law, economics, finance, and mining.

In addition to settling disputes arising from contracts and business transactions through arbitration, MIAC carries out activities including promotion and development of arbitral activities in Mongolia, organization of trainings and research, representation of MIAC in Mongolia and abroad, providing legal advice, publishing books and journals relevant to the arbitration procedure.

The features and advantages of settling disputes through arbitration are that it is quick in terms of duration, the decision is final, and it is recognized and enforced in over 170 countries around the world, low cost, possibility to choose the arbitrators, the procedure for hearing the case including the seat of the arbitration, the language and the applicable law, time, inquiries and evidence from the parties and authorities, involvement of witnesses, experts, translators, asset freezing, and confidentiality of arbitration proceedings.
